We always strongly recommend attending our workshop for our completely free, no obligation initial inspection. It allows us to provide our expert opinion on the status of the underside of your vehicle and be able to give a more accurate estimate of the likely cost to do the work.
No appointment required, pop in any time during opening hours, 9:30am until 5:30pm Monday to Friday, and the assessment can be done whilst you wait.
The initial assessment takes up to thirty minutes to do on average. We have a comfy waiting room with free drinks, wifi and Nemo & Dory to keep you company.
What Does The Assessment Involve?
Visual Inspection
We can tell a lot from just looking under the vehicle. We have been providing rustproofing services for a long time and you can't beat experience, truth is we've simply seen it all before and can make a good judgement of the likely condition and work that will be required to treat.
Gentle Attack!
We know the signs of a deeper problem or likely holes. We may confirm this by gently attacking (no more than what an MOT Tester does with his hammer) the area with a screwdriver to see whether it goes through or makes a hole. This allows us to confirm whether repairs are needed.
Show & Tell
Generally if there is corrosion or likely repair areas, we will likely bring you to see the underside with us and show you what we are basing our estimated costs upon. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions or discuss the process with us too.
Guesstimation
Put simply, the bill you get for the work done on your vehicle is a simple calculation of the labour time spent doing the job plus all the products and consumables used on your car. The difficulty is this is hard to accurately predict in advance but we can give an good guide price.
